This 'L' shaped garden music studio comprises two distinctly defined rooms. The first being a 3.5x2.5m family hangout space. Spacious enough for a sofa bed, wall mounted TV and games unit as well as well as storage for musical instruments.

The second, a 3.9x2m space, is where the specification of this pod differs to the norm. We've made use of specialist materials and techniques to create a fully acoustically isolated music room. Resilient channels mounted on rubber brackets work to decouple the internal and external structures of this room. Walls, floors and ceiling are laden with dense 'mass loaded vinyl', and a double layer of soundproof plasterboard is used throughout before wall finishings. This all serves to more than quadruple the overall mass of the building's fabric, practically irradiating all transference of sound waves to the outside. Access between the two rooms is via a heavy, acoustically insulated steel door by industry leaders Latham's.

Sitting on our preferred galvanised ground screw foundation system, this striking Pod features our signature Larch stave cladding. Anthracite grey exterior paintwork extends to the low profile doors and colour matched facia.

As a special addition to this Lyfe Pod, we created a matching mini pod for the client's new Labrador puppy who arrived just before we started work!
